PowerPoint

General

There are three different PowerPoint templates. The general template, which is available in the four classification levels Public, Internal, Confidential and Strictly confidential. The second template, which is a library with various revised and marketing-approved slides, from which you can take slides for your individual presentations. And the third template is the current Onventis Sales Pitch, which can also be extended by using the slides from the library.

The PowerPoint templates are provided centrally in Microsoft PowerPoint by our IT. For each PowerPoint presentation that you create, please open one of the templates via the PowerPoint menu so that you are asked to select the correct classification when creating a new presentation.

Do not duplicate existing Powerpoint slides. Please always use these templates when you open a new document. This is the only way we can ensure a strong and consistent external appearance. Slides in the old template design should not be copy pasted into the new templates, as this will cause formatting problems. For example, when copying text from an old template to a new one, it is recommended to use the Edit Paste and match formatting option when pasting. This way the text in the new template will be adapted to the format which is already set.

If you would like to have certain slides reworked and wish to see them in the library, you can contact the design team and request your customization. The Design Team will revise the slide(s) and make them available to everyone in the library as soon as possible.

The presentations will only be forwarded to external parties as PDF files and not as Powerpoint files.

Slide Usage

The PowerPoint templates already contain a wide range of master slides to give you as much room for creativity as possible when creating your presentation and at the same time taking the corporate identity into account. The layouts are divided into different subject areas and include different slide options. Simply select a desired layout and fill it with your content.

The mentioned library template also offers you a wide selection of different Onventis themes that you can use for your presentation. You can simply copy the slides from the library and use them in your new presentation. The slides in the library are already approved by Marketing, so please do not change them.

Font

The font and the correct font sizes are already set in the existing text boxes and should not be changed. Please note that slide headings are single-line and do not wrap. For PowerPoint presentations only the Regular font size is used. Medium, Bold or Light font sizes, as well as the font options bold, italic or underlined, are not used. Furthermore, whole words are not written in capital letters.

If a word should be highlighted, Onventis Orange can be used as the only design element.

Colors

The Onventis corporate colors are set as “theme colors” in the master slides. You can find them in the first line of the color selection. So if you create new slides, only these colors should be used. The respective colour gradations shown in the lines below are not used.

Animations and Slide Transitions

If you create new slides, please avoid the usage of animations if possible. If you still have slides on which you would like to have elements displayed one after the other, please limit yourself to the animations “Appear” or “Fly in”. Please also avoid using slide transitions.

Images and other Design Elements

If you want to include images in your presentation there are different options. If it is a transparent picture without a background, such as a laptop or iPhone, you can use the 50/50 transparent picture slide. Full-screen images can be dragged onto the standard slides as usual. Here, for example, the slide “1 blank anthracite” is recommended.

The use of icons from the Internet or other design elements such as emojis should be avoided if possible or at least chosen with care. What counts here: Less is more.
